Having over 25 years experience in both Individual and business taxes, I recently decided to open my own practice to service the local community. I have over 10 years experience with a "Big 4" Accounting firm, as well as 9 years with a local publicly-traded corporation. I have significant experience with all forms of business ownership, including corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorships, as well as limited liability companies, in the areas of tax planning, tax accounting (including Fas109 and Fin48), and tax compliance. I have led significant merger and acquisition projects. I have years of individual tax experience and have been involved in tax return preparation and tax planning for some of the area's wealthiest individuals. In addition, I have had significant experience with gift taxes, trusts and estate taxation and accounting. I served as the Carolina's specialist to the healthcare and not-for-profit sector for many years in the public accounting firm that I worked for.
I am currently servicing clients in Caldwell, Catawba, Alexander and Burke Counties, and I am willing to travel.
Though extremely heavy in taxation, I have also compiled financial statements for many small business clients over the years. In addition, several years back I taught Intermediate Accounting and Cost Accounting classes at a local community college, so my accounting skills are strong as well.
